Sue E was purchased at 3 weeks of age so she is a very sweet tempered pig and actually has free roam of our property. I would never recommend buying a pig that young!

Bella is a big sweetie! She can actually sit and will try to beg for a treat by getting up on her hind legs.

Hotdog was put to sleep on Aug 1 2007 after a long and hard personal decision. He will be greatly missed but not forgotten.

One sow was in heat before he passed so I am hoping for a suprise litter in a few months.

UPDATE: We did have a suprise litter born on Nov. 19th 8 little piglets!

Hotdog is another sweetie, although he does have his moments but will never refuse a nice belly rub :)

Our pigs are not withheld food to stay small ( we only have one "small" pig at this time, the others are 60lbs) if anything they are fed too much.

We feed:

* Fresh veggies & fruits ( in limited portions as fruits have sugar)

* Mazuri Mini pig feed ( active adult & youth depending on pig) ( Any feed mill that carries Purina products will be able to order this for you, you do not have to purchase from the internet !! )

* Small scoop of a specially milled sweet feed mix with mainly oats

* Day old bread

* Occasional dog treats

We do NOT feed our pigs pig feed( it is made for COMMERCIAL hogs, not potbelly pigs!!) and we also do not feed dog feed.

Feeding Guideline

( I honestly dont follow this, I actually feed MORE than what is suggested )

6 months to adult approximately 2 Cups of maintenance ration per day

Lactating Gilts and nursing females can be fed free choice, or follow this guideline:

2 C/day for the sow plus 1 cup for each suckling piglet.
Example: Sow with 5 piglets would receive 7 C/day.

Boars Feed according to need, from 2 C to 8 C/day depending on level of activity/condition
